We offer a unique selection of tungsten carbide inserts designed to break through a wide variety of formations and obstacles that are encountered down hole. The majority of our milling inserts are optimised for use with our patented QuickTip system for ease of application.

HF2000 Series

Using a premium grade of tungsten carbide, CW6
Design for multiple chip breaking
Orientated to provide either aggressive positive or robust negative cutting
Builds in combination for creation of a leading edge
Typical hardness 1300-1400 HV₃₀

HF20001 & HF20002 tungsten carbide cutting inserts are part of the fishing & milling insert family and have been designed specifically for multiple chip breaking for downhole milling applications. They are made from premium CW6 metal cutting grade tungsten carbide. The inserts can be used on all types of downhole bladed mills and have been designed so that they can be oriented to provide aggressive positive cutting or robust negative cutting for ultimate flexibility. Inserts are available in copper coated, nickel coated and standard options.

Brand X Inserts

Using a premium grade of tungsten carbide, CW6
Used in combination on aggressive cutting tools
Ideal for milling knives

Brand X Inserts are made from premium CW6 cutting grade tungsten carbide, they have been optimised for use with our QuickTip process with 3 feet placed on the bottom of the inserts for ease of application. The Inserts measure 3/8″ diameter x 1/4″ in height, however we also supply a smaller Brand X which are available measuring 1/4″ diameter x 1/4″ in height. As standard, we also sell these inserts in halves.

Oval Inserts

Using a premium grade of tungsten carbide, CW6
Used in combination on aggressive cutting tools
Builds in combination for creation of an aggressive open leading edge

Our Oval Inserts are made from premium grade CW6 cutting tungsten carbide, the inserts are optimised for use with our Quicktip process with feet placed on the bottom of the inserts for ease of application. The Inserts we supply are stocked in numerous different sizes however can also be modified if requested to suit specific requirements. These inserts are also available in halves.

PDC Inserts

Polycrystalline Diamond Composite (PDC) layed on top of sintered tungsten carbide
High strength, high hardness and high wearing properties
Available in a range of sizes and grades

Our PDC Inserts offer a high hardness, high strength, and high wear propertied suitable for a range of components. We are able to supply a range of sizes to meet your needs.
