Nickel Bronze Brazing Rod

  • High strength UTS of 80,000 PSI, work hardening up to 100,000 PSI
  • Securely holds tungsten carbide whilst cushioning from shocks
  • High fluidity allows for ease of flow
  • Flux coated rods available

Nickel Bronze brazing alloy is for use in laying inserts on heavy duty cutting mills or when laying a composite rod. It’s a high strength 10% nickel alloy, with a UTS of 80,000 PSI (avg) with a potential to work harden up to 100,000 PSI, making it well suited to this application. Our brazing rods are available in a range of sizes, and in both standard and flux coated finishes.

Metal Spray Powder

  • Designed to produce reliable bonds with tungsten carbide and TSP Xtreme
  • Available with a blend of fused tungsten carbide
  • Available in non-magnetic grades
  • A range of hardness options available, from 20 to 60 HRC

Cutting & Wear offer a range of nickel based metal spray powder principally used for bonding tungsten carbide wear protection inserts to tools, often in association with the QuickTip system and process. A variety of grades area available, including grades that incorporate fused tungsten carbide, and non-magnetic grades for use with our CW60 inserts for non-magnetic applications.

Tungsten Carbide Grit

  • Steel cutting grade carbide
  • Available in a range of sizes, from 30-40 mesh to 1/4″
  • Suitable for a wide variety of applications
Our tungsten carbide grit is manufactured using high quality steel cutting grade carbide. In processing it is sized from 30-40 mesh all the way through to 1/2″ and can be blended to accommodate a wide variety of needs and applications. This grit is suitable for a wide range of industries such as oil & gas, agriculture, construction and many more.

Grinding Wheels

  • Specifically engineered for grinding various types of hardfacing
  • Cut efficiently whilst offering good wheel life
  • Available in sizes from 1-5/8” to 36” OD
Cutting & Wear’s range of grinding wheels have been developed over many years for grinding tungsten carbide on drilling tools. Our universal grade is suitable for grinding most types of hardfacing, however we can offer a range of grades, including diamond grinding wheels, to suit your requirements.

Brazing Flux

  • Cleans the surface to improve bond
  • Water Soluble options available to make a paste
Brazing Flux cleans the surface of steel in order to improve the bond with tungsten carbide based products. We can supply in both 12 mesh and 30 mesh. Also available is Pink Flux, a water soluble powder which is mixed to a paste, used when applying flux to tools at room temperature before heating.

Flexicoy

  • Deposited to form a tough wear resistance surface
  • Good corrosion resistance
  • Easy and economical application
Flexicoy has a pure nickel core surrounded by a thick coating consisting of an alloy matrix and fused tungsten carbide. When deposited together it forms a tough wear resistant surface. Flexicoy is available in a range of sizes for components subject to high levels of wear, such as stabiliser blades.
