Washover Shoe

Technical Summary

Cutting & Wear’s washover shoes are routinely used in fishing operations to prepare the top and outside surface of a fish. These specialised tools are available in a number of design options, all featuring our renowned composite rod range, SupaCutt. For particularly difficult milling operations, these shoes can be enhanced using our premium SupaCutt Xtreme or StarCutt composite rod.

Castellated Shoes:

These castellated washover shoes are typically ground on the OD and ID, leaving a cutting structure on the end face to effectively mill pieces of metal stuck on the outside of the fish. The design and incorporation of premium materials helps them to with stand much more weight than other types of shoes, and can cut through stabilizer blades, hole opener arms and other hardened metal parts.

Wave Form Shoes:

These wave form shoes have been designed to ensure maximum mud flow whilst maintaining a productive milling structure. They can be used for a variety of operations including fish dressing, plug removal, debris removal and many other clean out requirements.
