Containerised Manual Hardbanding Unit
GENERAL SPECIFICATION
For welding all types of wires in the Hardbanding industry and capable of handling welding wire sizes of 0.6mm -3.2mm and welding pipe diameter from 2-3/8" - 10" OD.
The Containerised Hardbanding Unit includes the following:
WELDING MACHINE
Welding Machine (800 amps) 650 amps @ 100% duty cycle
- Machine welding torch 2 meters or longer
- Wire feed unit, minimum 5 meters or longer
- Build in cooling system for welding torch
- Inert gas regulator
- Input power 380-440v, 3 phase, 50 Hz.
ELECTRICAL CONTROL SYSTEM
Operating control fitted
- Rotator on/off
- Variable rotator speed control
- Welding on/off
- Welding oscillator control
ROTATOR
- 14" Hollow spindle 3 jaw single centralizing chuck drive
- Variable speed drive by electric motor
- Manual lateral movement controlled hardbanding step over
- Welding head up & down controlled manually for fine adjustments while welding
- Welding head in and out of centre of tool joints during welding process should it be found necessary
- Oscillating welding head with variable speed and stroke
- Three heavy duty welding earth brushes fitted directly to rotating chuck to avoid damage to rotating parts and tubulars
HYDRAULIC PIPE HANDLING
- Self contained power pack
- Hydraulic pumps
- Two hydraulic tripod pipe jacks stands for raising/lowering pipe off standard oilfield pipe rack (42")
- One hydraulic tripod pipe jacks stands for raising/lowering pipe off standard oilfield pipe rack (42") hardbanding centre section on HWDP
- Control shuttle valves, speed regulators, flexible hoses, steel pipe work, fittings and quick release couplings supplied
