Nickel Bronze
Nickel Bronze brazing alloy is used in the manufacture of Cutting and Wear's range of composite rods it is a high strength 15% nickel alloy, with a UTS of 100,000 PSI and is particularly well suited to this application. The alloy's resistant properties cushion the tungsten carbide from shocks while its high strength securely holds the tungsten carbide while it works.

The same Nickel Bronze is also used when laying inserts on heavy duty metal cutting mills. The brazing alloy readily wets steel and tungsten carbide and its high fluidity allows the alloy to flow by capillary action between the insert and blade.

Nickel Bronze is available in various rod sizes, bare or flux coated for tinning and infilling when laying composite rod as well as laying inserts.

Nickel Bronze is also referred to as brazing rod, brass rod, Nickel silver and tinning rod.
