2 March 2010 Customer Visits Around the World
In December Brett Russell visited John M Phillips in California who recently became our latest Quick Tip licensee. Brett spent a week with the company training two of the operators who will be responsible for the new process. Brett also met with John Greenwell, managing director, to discuss the opportunities that being a QuickTip licensee have opened up for his business. From California Brett moved on to Odessa, Texas to visit M J Thompson, one of the company's current QuickTip licensees. They have recently branched out to using the QuickTip process for both wear resistant applications on stabilizers and reamer bodies. Brett trained two operators who will be looking after the new section. In the first quarter of the New Year Brett will be visiting SBS in Vietnam to provide QuickTip training. They signed up for the Quick Tip system in November and are currently in the process of setting up their new hardfacing facility. |
John took time out to visit customers, including a flying visit to Jowfe Co in Benghazi where he met Mr Mohamed Heiba, Materials Manager and engineer Khaled ElAroush to discuss prospects for future business. From Libya John moved on to Egypt for a three day round of customer meetings. Egypt is a hub for activity across North Africa.and is one of Cutting & Wear's longest standing export markets.
