He is pictured here, following the presentation of retirement gifts from his colleagues and the company, with his wife, whom he met while they were both working at Cutting & Wear. Dave worked in the Making Section of the Hardfacing Manufacturing shop and during his 19 years produced many tonnes of Supacutt Composite Rod. He made a valuable contribution during his time offering a number of suggestions for improving the process. Dave started his working life at 15 as a general farm-worker and then worked for the National Smokeless Fuels Company (coincidentally also for 19 years) before joining Cutting & Wear in 1989. |
After 19 years loyal service with the company Dave Goodall retired in November 2008.
