Developing our People for Future Success
Whilst we are continually striving to improve our products and services, training and staff development are also one of our major priorities. We continue to invest in our people this year as the training courses outlined below illustrate.
Six Sigma
Members of the management team took part in a Six Sigma course. The course was focused on the design department, but other members of the management team were included in specific modules such as FMEA, a technique developed as part of the American project to put a man on the moon. The principles of Six Sigma relate to theories of probability and when the Six Sigma techniques are successfully employed they achieve the required output 99.9997% of the time. The techniques can be applied to almost anything, but we focused on our design process under the acronym DMADV (define, measure, analyse, design and verify).
